Physical Education is an educational course related to the physique of the human body that encourages psychomotor learning in a play or movement exploration setting to promote health. It is a course that focuses on developing physical fitness in the youth. Physical Education is a crucial learning tool that can help children sharpen their reasoning skills, encourage creativity, and develop mind-body awareness. This is more important than ever before as modern life is full of stress and lack of physical activity.
The college is situated in rural area where the good facilities for sports and related activities are not available. The college provides Physical Education as an elective subject in the Arts stream to its students with national level sports equipment and facilities. The college also runs foundation courses in Physical Education in all the degree courses of arts, science and commerce. An add-on course is also provided in Yoga for the overall development of mind and soul of the students.
Recently Badminton and Table tennis sports have been introduced in the college which are immensely popular among the students. The college has four Table Tennis tables of international standards. Other popular sports include athletics, cricket, kho-kho, volleyball and carom. The college has one multipurpose hall for playing indoor games.
