M.K.G.D. College, Gabhana (Aligarh) is situated on the Grand Trunk Road, Katra – NH 91, at a distance of 100 km South-East of New Delhi and 80 km from Noida and Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh. It is named after the name of Manyawar Kanshiram, an Indian politician and social reformer who worked for the upliftment and political mobilization of the Bahujans in India. Government Degree College, Gabhana was established in 2007 with seven subjects at under graduation level by the Government of Uttar Pradesh with the aim of providing higher education to the young students of Gabhana and adjoining area. The location of the college is very important from geographical point of view as there are no other degree colleges in the neighbouring area of almost 25 km. Before the opening of this college, students had to go to Khurja, Khair or Aligarh for further studies. The college is spread over 4.5 acres of land with a huge playground. College got sanction of 2F/12B under UGC Act in the year 2011-12. Science and commerce blocks are also ready and we hope new facilities will start from next session i.e. 2018-19. As of now we have a wealth of 600 students on roll.
